Susan Grelick Amherst Historical Wing Dedicated at Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village

I was deeply honored to attend the dedication of the new Susan Grelick Amherst Historical Wing at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village.

The Amherst Gallery is the newest installation in the Susan Grelick Amherst Historical Wing. The Amherst Gallery honors the past, present, and future of Amherst, New York. It features historic artifacts and archival documents that share the impact of Amherst on regional history.

Amherst Bicentennial

I was honored to serve on the Amherst Bicentennial Commission. The celebration began in January 2018 when the Town of Amherst received 200 proclamations for 200 years. Serving on the Commission were David Sherman, Juliana Woite, Herbert Schmidt, Doug Kohler and Susan Grelick. Here is a photo from the opening ceremony when we cut the Town’s Gigantic Birthday Cake –

I will be adding comments and photos about my time as Amherst Town Supervisor and from my involvement in many organizations within the Amherst Community !! Hope you enjoy reading my blog.

I was so honored to have a Gallery dedicated to me at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village. Here are some photos from the ribbon cutting of the Susan Grelick Gallery – the first exhibit is a tribute to Amherst’s farming community. It is called – Let’s Eat! Farm to Table: Amherst 1850 – 1950

The “rustic chic” exhibit has artifacts and photographs depicting farm life in Amherst, as well as an interactive children’s space.
